On Wednesday, December 20th BMS will be a place full of seasonal cheer! It’s “holiday attire” day so kids will be all dressed up for the season. It’s the day where BMS buddies (the big ones) help their little buddies build gingerbread houses and then the big kids get to build their own too. And, that afternoon LINK hosts the Holiday Carnival from 3pm – 4:30pm with games and activities sure to inspire some seasonal smiles in everyone!
A day like this needs parental support. Please use this link to sign-up and help out!
What do we need?
Dec 19th: Preparations for the gingerbread houses. Got a hot glue gun? This is your moment to shine. We hot glue empty milk cartons to plates and staple the tops of the cartons shut. This provides the “base” for the gingerbread houses to be built around. It doesn’t take long when we get enough of us to work together. Basketball practices will be in session this afternoon, so while your kids are shooting hoops – stop into the cafeteria to help out!
Dec 20th (during the school day): Gingerbread house support for big buddies helping little buddies, and for big buddies on their own.
Dec 20th (after school): Holiday carnival! Game keepers, team chaperones, general support… all the roles are needed. And we’re hoping to have most of our BMS students participate – which means we need an army of holiday heroes to show up and help out!
Have you signed your kid(s) up to participate in the Holiday Carnival? If not – registration is open now for the Holiday Carnival on the Enrichment page of our website. This is a FREE event and we hope that everyone will come! Families with kids in the after school program – we would love to have your kids involved and we regularly and safely move kids between enrichment and after-school. So sign them up and be confident that they will be cared for and have a great time!
